Jason R. Margulies
Jason R. Margulies is a board certified admiralty and maritime attorney and shareholder of Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman, P.A. As an active and experienced trial attorney Mr. Margulies handles personal injury and wrongful death claims. He is also one of the most experienced cruise ship sexual assault attorneys having represented many minor and adult passengers who were sexually assaulted during a cruise.

Mr. Margulies is board certified by the Florida Bar as an expert in Admiralty and Maritime Law. To achieve this status, Mr. Margulies had to demonstrate a substantial background in handling maritime cases and maritime law continuing legal education. In addition, Mr. Margulies was rigorously evaluated by the board as to character, ethics, and reputation for professionalism and was required to pass a written examination on all areas of admiralty and maritime law.
Mr. Margulies is admitted to practice before all Florida State and federal courts, the United States Court of Federal Claims and the United States Supreme Court. In addition to being an active personal injury and maritime attorney, Mr. Margulies is also certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit Court Mediator. Mr. Margulies has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1995. He is a founding member of the Florida Admiralty Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Federal Bar Association. Jason Margulies serves on the Florida Bar Eleventh Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee.
After studying law and public policy at Cornell University while still in high school, Mr. Margulies graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business in 1992 and from the University of Miami School of Law, cum laude, in 1995. While in law school, he was awarded the Most Outstanding Third-Year Member of the Miami Inter-American Law Review (1995).
Jason Margulies has served as a faculty instructor to the judiciary of the State of Florida at the Florida College of Advanced Judicial Studies. He has been selected on numerous occasions as one of the “Florida Legal Elite” in the annual list published by Florida Trend magazine. Furthermore, he has repeatedly been included on the Super Lawyers’ yearly list of the top lawyers.
