Jason R. Margulies
Jason R. Margulies is an experienced maritime lawyer and an active trial attorney handling personal injury, cruise line sexual assault and wrongful death claims. He is admitted to practice before all State and Federal Courts in Florida, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Margulies is a shareholder in one of the most successful maritime personal injury law firms in the world, Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman, P.A. He has been recognized with an AV Preeminent 5.0 out of 5 rating, the highest rating for both legal ability and professional and ethical standards, by Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 out of 10 rating from Avvo.com. In addition to being an active personal injury and maritime litigator, Mr. Margulies is also certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit Court Mediator. Because of his extensive experience, Mr. Margulies is regularly consulted and interviewed by the news media regarding legal and safety issues concerning cruise travel.
Mr. Margulies has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1995. He is also a founding member of the Florida Admiralty Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the American Association for Justice. Jason Margulies serves on the Florida Bar Eleventh Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee.
After studying law and public policy at Cornell University while still in high school, Mr. Margulies graduated from New York University's Stern School of Business in 1992 and from the University of Miami School of Law, cum laude, in 1995. While in law school, he was awarded the Most Outstanding Third-Year Member of the Miami Inter-American Law Review (1995).
Jason Margulies has served as a faculty instructor to the judiciary of the State of Florida at the Florida College of Advanced Judicial Studies. He has repeatedly been selected as one of the Florida Legal Elite in the annual list published by Florida Trend magazine and has repeatedly been included on the SuperLawyers yearly list of the top five percent of lawyers, representing a long history at the highest level of peer recognition and professional achievement.
