ADMIRALTY; WRONGFUL DEATH; MEDICAL MALPRACTICE: Harvey Meadows was a passenger on a Carnival Cruise Line Ship when he had a heart attack. Plaintiff claimed that the ship's nurse and doctor were "late" in arriving to the plaintiff's cabin and that no treatment was administered for the heart attack. Plaintiff claimed that had timely medical aid been given, the deceased would have better than a 50% change of survival. Defendant claimed that the deceased had already passed away by the time the medical personnel arrived and that they were not late in arriving for the medical emergency. Plaintiff's Experts were DR. JOHN SOKOLOWICZ (Miami) cardiologist and DR. WES YOUNG (Honolulu). Defendants Expert was DR. DAVID NATEMAN (Miami) Emergency Room Doctor. Plaintiff was survived by his wife and two children. The case was settled prior to trial.
