Jillian Blumenthal is a fierce litigator recognized among “Best Lawyers in America ® – Ones to Watch 2027”.
Jillian recently joined Lipcon, Margulies & Winkleman, P.A., returning to the area of law that first inspired her legal career: representing victims injured in maritime and cruise ship accidents and advocating on their behalf against sophisticated corporate defendants. She brings extensive experience representing a diverse range of clients across a broad spectrum of litigation matters.
“Every client deserves an advocate who will fight as hard as the corporations they’re up against. That’s exactly what I do — I give injured people a voice, and I don’t back down.”
Prior to joining Lipcon, Margulies & Winkleman, P.A., Jillian practiced at a large, national AmLaw 200 firm, where she cultivated a broad litigation skill set spanning complex business disputes, products liability matters involving medical device manufacturers, white collar criminal defense, and employment discrimination litigation. Representing clients across these diverse and often high-stakes matters honed her ability to navigate complex legal issues, manage multifaceted cases, and advocate against well-resourced opponents—experience that uniquely prepared her for the nuanced challenges of admiralty and maritime law.
Jillian earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, concentrating in Finance and Strategy & Management Consulting, before earning her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. There, she served as a Staff Editor of the Inter-American Law Review and received multiple academic honors, including two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards and the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement for Overall Excellence in Civil Procedure. During law school, Jillian interned with both the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, as well as the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office.
Upon graduating from law school, Jillian joined the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted domestic violence offenses. That experience reinforced her commitment to advocating for individuals during some of life’s most difficult moments—a commitment she now brings to representing victims injured in maritime and cruise ship accidents
