Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman, P.A., is located in downtown Miami, Florida. Our offices are situated in One Biscayne Tower, along South Biscayne Boulevard, and are less than half a mile from the Port of Miami’s main terminals. Our office building overlooks Miami’s cruise passenger facilities. Although we are based in Miami, we serve clients across the globe.
Our firm is just minutes away from one of the busiest passenger seaports in the world: PortMiami. PortMiami hosted over four million cruise passengers in 2012 alone. The facility’s seven cruise ship terminals are among the most modern in the world and include the ability to accommodate “mega ships” – ships capable of carrying 5,000 or more passengers. The terminal facility offers executive VIP lounges, a high-tech security screening facility, airline-style counters and an airport-type baggage conveyor system. The transportation facility also houses a one-stop federal multi-agency facility to process passengers. Passengers on any of the cruise lines served by PortMiami will find our offices conveniently located and within reach.
Our firm is also located only six blocks from the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. United States Federal Courthouse Building, which houses the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The federal courthouse facility provides accessible access to accommodate all clients who wish to attend hearings and trials.
Arrival by Air
Our offices are located approximately 20-30 minutes from Miami International Airport (MIA) based on normal traffic conditions. Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is approximately 21 miles north of the city of Miami. The travel time to and from FLL can vary heavily based on the time of day, but normally does not exceed 45 minutes.
A variety of hotel accommodations are available just minutes from our offices. Virtually every major hotel brand has a residence facility located within two miles of the cruise terminal and our law firm. All hotels offer complimentary shuttle service to and from our offices for your convenience.
Since Miami is the departure destination of choice for cruises departing to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico and South America, it is also a prime location for cruise passengers and travelers to embark on their desired vacations. Over four million cruise passengers utilized the facility’s seven ultra-modern docks in 2012. PortMiami is also currently host to 12 major cruise lines, including:
- Azamara Cruises
- Carnival Cruise Lines
- Celebrity Cruises
- Costa Cruises
- Crystal Cruises
- Disney Cruise Line
- MSC Cruises (USA)
- Norwegian Cruise Line

Internet Dialing (Skype Users):
You can call our law firm at absolutely no cost from any country using Skype, a free voice over Internet provider dialing service (VoIP). Skype is both free to download and to use. It is very easy to install and can be used from most computers, smart phones and tablet devices.
Download Skype now, and enjoy free internet calling.
Skype requires the following capabilities to function properly:
- An Internet connection, with sufficient bandwidth. Though broadband is recommended for high quality voice, a simple dial-up connection of around 64 kbps will work for voice calls. Around 400 kbps will be needed for video calls.
- A hearing device and a microphone. For video calls, you will need a web camera.
- An operating system of a version that is supported by Skype. All current Windows versions are supported, as well as Mac OS. You need to check for the Linux versions that are supported. As for mobile phones, check whether your phone model is supported.
- The Skype application, which you can download from Skype, iTunes or the Android marketplace and install on your device.
- A Skype account. You need to register with Skype and have an account with a user name and password that you will enter each time you log in to your account. This account is free.
- Skype credits. Skype calls are completely free worldwide, but only if you are communicating with someone using Skype, just like you, over an Internet connection. If you want to use Skype to call our firm on our landline phone, you will need some prepaid credit on your account, because calls to non-Skype numbers are not free. Nevertheless, they are cheap.
