We are proud to announce that our firm’s founder, maritime lawyer Charles R. Lipcon, has been named to Best Lawyers in America for the second consecutive year.
To be recognized by Best Lawyers, is one of the highest accolades and honors for an attorney. In order to achieve the distinction, a lawyer or firm must be nominated by fellow attorneys – a most impressive and significant feat. Only a small number of legal professionals actually make the list. If the individual or firm achieves recognition, they become part of an elite group that comprises the top four percent of practicing attorneys.
The process of actually making the list is one of the most extensive in the world. Each year, thousands of lawyers and firms are recommended to Best Lawyers via rigorous and confidential peer-review surveys. Nominees are evaluated and rated based on several factors, including their level of expertise in their particular field and professional excellence, as well as the quality of their practice.
If an attorney makes the list on a given year, they must continue to maintain positive votes in subsequent poles in order to make the list for each new edition. It is extremely rare for an attorney to be recognized at all throughout the entire time they are in practice, let alone multiple years in a row. Being named as one of America’s Best Lawyers for two consecutive years is an outstanding achievement, and serves as a testament to Mr. Lipcon’s experience, expertise, and the level of respect he has attained from his peers in the legal community.

Charles Lipcon and his firm have been successfully handling personal injury and wrongful death claims pertaining to cruise ship accidents, crew member injuries, cruise ship sexual assault, boating accidents, and an array of additional maritime law matters since 1971.
